Election speak
By Bhola B Rana
Kathmandu, 28 March: Exchanges of abuses words between rival parties are betting bitter by the day as the 10 April assembly election approaches.
Top CPN-UML leader and former Deputy Minister KP Sharma Oli says he is on a Maoist hit list and charged,” Maoists are like new bulls. Its difficult to train them to plough the field.”
The former foreign minister went on to say,” Maoists are puppets of the palace sometimes knocking the doors of Kamal Thapa and Ramesh Nath Pandey.”
Chairman Prachanda accusing Maoists or being royalists, said,” There can’t be an electoral understanding with CPN-UM which is an anti-national party.
“It has been conducting anti-national politics for 15 years.”
Congress leader Bal Bahadur KC said he survived a murderous Maoist attack in Solu at the foot of Mount Everest.
“The attack proves they want to capture power at all cost without election.”
Accusing Maoists, Congress leader Ram Chandra Paudel said,” Authoritarianism without a crown is emerging.”
‘Ram Chandra [in the form of Maoists] has returned from the jungle after 12 years . Why worship his [Lord Ram’s] wooden sandals left by him Bharat?” Baburam Bhattarai said.

Goit rejects talks before elections
By Bhola B Rana
Kathmandu, 28 March: Jai Krishna Goit, coordinator of Akhil Tarai Front, through statement Thursday, has rejected talks with government before the 10 April assembly elections.
The rejection has disrupted a government strategy to draw armed rebels in the terai for talks to hold elections without disruptive activities of the group, including strikes.
Such acts will keep voters away from polling booths.
Government initiative received a severe setback when four groups rejected talks hours after Peace Minister Ram Chandra Paudel announced a dialogue would start today [Friday] in Janakpur.
Paudel even said he would lead the seven-member government team.
The rebels said talks won’t start until arrested activists are released and criminal cases withdrawn against them.
Government assurance they would be released once talks started was inadequate to create an atmosphere for a dialogue.

This design is wicked! You most certainly know how to keep
a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost
moved to start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Wonderful job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool!
