Former king appears in public

Kathmandu, 3 Oct: Former King Gyanendra parried political questions from reporters when he appeared for the first time in public in four months.
“May the desires of all Nepalis be fulfilled on
the occasion of bijaya dashami. I wish peace and prosperity to all nationalist Nepalis wherever they are. My the wish of peace and prosperity of Nepal be fulfilled,” he said
People cheered when arrived in the town.
Reporters were by aides of the visit.
The former king visited an Indian religious leader in Bhaktapur Thursday.

Kathmandu, 3 Oct: Maoist central committee meets later Friday after the long gap.
The powerful committee is meeting after the return of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda from New York.
