MJF to discuss possible split

Kathmandu, 7 Jan: The parliamentary party of Madesh Janaadhikar Forum (MJF)- the largest party in the terai with 52 seats in the CA—is discussing a possible split in the ruling party as well alter Wednesday.
Leader Sarad Singh Bhandari said a demand submitted to PM Prachanda by 38 assembly members Tuesday recalling four ministers in government was illegal and will be discussed by the parliamentary party Wednesday.
Differences that could lead to a split came out in the open Tuesday when assembly members demanded the recall of parry chairman and Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav and ministers Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar, Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta and Renu Yadav.
Rebels led by BP Yadav also informed CA Chairman Subash Nemwang Tuesday Gachedhar and Ram Janam Chaudhari were no longer leader of the party and chief whip respectively.
BP Yadav accused Gachedhar of speaking against a policy of one Madesh, one pradesh.
MJF is the third fourth largest party in the CA.

Four dead, 45 injure din bus accident in Parbat

Kathmandu, 7 Jan: Four persons bound for Beni from the capital died and 45 were injured when a bus fell 20 meters off a highway at Bethany, Parbat, Wednesday morning.
The bus fell into Modi khola.

Army chief summoned by defence minister

Kathmandu, 7 Jan: Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal has been summoned to the defence ministry Wednesday.
Defence Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal has charged the chief for making a political statement against recruitment to fill in vacacies in Nepal Army.
The army has refused a defence minister order to stop recruitment to fill in vacancies.

CA committee elections on 13 January

Kathmandu, 7 Jan: Chairpersons of 14 CA committees to draft a constitution and 10parliamentary committees will now be held 13 January.
Chairman Subash Nemwang announced fresh election dates; elections have been postponed for the fourth time.
Attempts are being made to hold elections through consensus.
