Finnish trade minister arriving Tuesday.Kathmandu, 3 Feb: Finland’s Dr Paavo Väyrynen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, will visit Nepal on 3-5 February on invitation of Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Minister for Finance.
Topics of discussion during the visit include Finland's development cooperation with Nepal as well as the current political situation and development plans of Nepal. The situation of the peace process, human rights and democracy are also on the agenda. Trade and commercial issues together with regional and international affairs will be discussed. Minister Väyrynen will meet with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and, in addition, with the ministers responsible for Foreign Affairs, Local Development, Environment, Science and Technology, Forest and Soil Conservation, Education, Commerce and Supplies, as well as with Constituent Assembly Chairman.
He will also have talks with Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Minister for Finance, followed by signing of the agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments.Representatives of Finnish business will also take part in the minister's visit.
