Chinese gift for Nepal Police
Kathmandu, 28 March: Ambassador for China to Nepal Qui Guohong handed over on behalf of the Chinese government nine pick-up vans to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bamdeb Gautam at his office today [Friday], RSS reports.
The vans were have been handed over for enhancing the capacity of Nepal Police.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Qiu appreciated Nepal for providing security for the journey of the Olympic torch when it was carried to the top of Mount Everest prior to the start of the Beijing Olympics.
The Chinese ambassador said that China will also provide security equipment and gear worth 500,000 Yuan to Nepal Police for its capacity enhancement in the second week of April.
Ambassador Qui appreciated Nepal Police for its role in checking criminal activities along the Nepal-China border.
