President convenes parliament 29 March

Kathmandu, 13 March: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav Friday called the winter parliament into session 29 March, an official announcement said.
Prime Minister Prachanda called on the president to convene the meeting after a meeting with constituent assembly chairman Subash Nemwang.
The meeting could be crucial as the Maoist-led government could face a no-confidence motion in the legislature.
Maoist leaders have charged former King Gyanendra, main opposition leader Girija Prasad Koirala and other leaders have flown to India to topple the extreme communist government.
But Maoists came to power with in 2006 with the help of India where they had a save haven for 10 years during a people’s war that claimed more than 13,000 lives.
