Maoists. CPN-UML hold discussions on future of army chief

Kathmandu, 28 April: Maoist and main coalition partner CPN-UML leaders Tuesday morning began talks on Maoist proposal to sack Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal.
CPN-UML has proposed sacking of Defence Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal and Katawal as a solution.
Main opposition Nepali Congress has supported beleaguered Gen Katawal.
Maoist determination to oust Katawal has created a political crisis amid fears of a coup.

Two banks record good profits
Kathmandu, 28 April: Nepal Investment Bank recorded a Rs 650 million net profit in Q3 of the current fiscal year ending 13 April.
The bank recorded a Rs 475.5 million net profit in the corresponding period the previous year quarter.
Laxmi Bank recorded a Rs 139.9 million profit in Q3 compared to Rs 94.8 million profit in the corresponding period the previous year.
