No Maoist link with COMPOSA

Kathmandu, 7 April: Ambassador –designate to France Ram Karki and politburo member of Unified CPN (Maoist) said Nepal’s Maoists havelost contact with other South Asian Maoists.
“Our meeting has not been convened after the Kathmandu assembly.
“Then parties affiliated to COMPOSA had adopted a watch and see posture when Nepal’s Maoists were entering the peace process.
“We are moving ahead with the belief revolution cannot move forward with old ideas. We fought not for the enemies but for the people, “Karki told Naya Patrika Tuesday.
Maoist parties from Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka also attended the Kathmandu conference.
A meeting of COMPOSA was held in Kathmandu August 2006.
The party South Asian Maoists was established with the effort of Unified CPN (Maoist).
Nepal’s Maoists, ICP Maoist and Maoist Pparty of Bangladesh are in the standing committee.
A statute of COMPOSA says a meeting should be held one every six months.
The newspaper reported Maoists have lost contact with COMPOSA after the 2006 Kathmandu meeting.
