Madesh front rejects govt. offers; govt. expansion delayed

Kathmandu, 13 June: Expected Sunday’s expansion of the MAdhav Kumar Nepal government was delayed,
Three parties of a Madesh Front Sunday rejected cabinet and ministries offered to the terai parties by CPN-UML and Nepali Congress.
MJF, TMLP and Rajendra Mahoto faction of NSP didn’t join the expanded government.
“We were not consulted and two big parties came to an understanding against coalition culture,” Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar said after the front’meeting.
Congress and CPN-UML along with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal efforted the entire day to a assemble government.
Nepal held discussions inconclusive discussions with Gachedhar.
“Serious attention has been drawn and against the coalition culture of CPN-UNL and Nepali Congress,” TMLP leader Hridesh Tripathi said.
CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath objected to demands of terai parties and said,” All ministries are important. Objections have no meaning.”
He added: “Present government is national government and efforts are ongoing to include Maoists.”
The Nepal government formed three weeks ago has only three CPN-UML representatives.

Youth Force, CPN-UML activists clash in Kalikot

Kathmandu, 14 June: Maoists Sunday attacked CPN-UML office in Kalikot district headquarters during anti-government and anti-president demonstrations.
More than one dozen YCL and CPN-UML activists were injured in clashes at district headquarters which is tense.
Maoists closed down eight districts in Bheri and Karnali anchals.
They again disrupted parliament proceedings Sunday.
But Maoists last week allowed parliamentary proceedings to pass a resolution of the death of Congress woman leader Shailja Acharya.
