Cabinet approves annual budget

Kathmandu, 13 July: Ahead of its presentation, the cabinet Monday approved the annual budget 2009/10.
Before its presentation at three in the afternoon, Most Maoist lawmakers had come to parliament, except Chairman Prachanda and Dr Babauram Bhattarai.

Police of Jhalanath Khanual’s security found dead

Kathmandu, 13 July A policeman assigned on security duty of CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanarh Khanal was found dead in th outskirts of the city Tuesday afternoon.
Police started investigation into the death of Nurpati Nepal.

Bank of China, EBL tie-up

Kathmandu, 13 July: Bank of China and Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) have tied-up to open a Nostgro Account to facilitate trade, finance and remittance.
Nepali traders can now open LC, transfer and receive remittances directly from China.
