Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar to carry duties of premier

Kathmandu, 14 July: Minister for Physical Planning Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar will officiate for Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal who left Tuesday for Egypt to attend a summit of non-aligned states.
The announcement by the president’s office confirms Gachedhar in the number two minister in the government above Nepali Congress cabinet members.
Nepali Congress is the second largest party in parliament after Maoists,
The MJF of which Gachedhar is member drew concessions from both the Congress and Nepal’s CPN-UML to join a coalition after Maoists were ousted by a majority vote in parliament.

Kathmandu, 14 July: A bomb exploded at the inland revenue office in Biratnagar Tuesday causing some damage.
The explosioncaused minor damage.
