Sushil Koirala announced candidacy for Congress presidency

Kathmandu, 10 July: Sushil Koirala Friday announced his candidacy for the presidency of Nepali Congress.
He is cousin and acting president of the party of which Girija Prsad Koirala is president.
Girija is unlikely to contest the presidency at the coming general convention; dates for the meeting haven’t been announced.
Girija didn’t contest the leadership of the parliamentary party leader in which Ram Chandra Paudel defeated Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Sushil Koirala didn’t contest the leadership of the parliamentary party as he was not a member of parliament.
