Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala leaves for India
Kathmandu, 10 Aug: Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala flew for New Delhi Monday to prepare Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal’s India visit beginning 18 August.
Foreign Ministry Advisor Dr Chiranjibi Neepal and Foreign Secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya are accompanying her.

India protests wild elephant killing
Kathmandu, 10 Aug: Indian embassy has written to the forest and soil conservation ministry protesting the killing of wild elephants that crossed over to Jhapa, Nepal, from Sukana protected reserve, Annapurna Post reports.
The letter expresses serious concern.
India has charged Nepal has not concern at protection of wild elephants.
Five elephants that entered Nepal have been killed this year alone.
The elephants have been spreading terror.
In its reply, Nepal said there’s no shortcoming in efforts to protest wild elephants.
The letter says Nepal is efforting to stop the entry of elephants.
The entry of wild elephants is being discussed with India.

US INGO sent doctor illegally” Health secretary
Kathmandu, 10 Aug: Action is being taken against American INGO Population Service International (PSI) and Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division Chief Dr Senendraran Uprety, Kantipur reports.
PSI invited Dr Uprety to participate in a programme in USA while the doctor tricked the government.
“Uprety went by lying to government at a time when he shouldn’t have gone. It’s illegal for the PSI to send somebody without informing government,” Health Secretary Dr Shuda Sharma said.
Dr Uprety ignored strong instructions of the prime minister and went taking leave.
