Maoist reject ruling party draft

Kathmandu, 3 Oct; Maoists Saturday rejected a draft proposed by ruling parties Nepali Congress and CPN-UML to end a four-month deadlock.
Maoist negotiator Narayan Kazi Shrestha Prakash said the draft doesn’t ‘address the issues raised’ by Maoists.
Pradip Geywali of CPN-UML said the two-page draft ‘only mentions the background’ of the events.
Maoists asked two parties to prepare the draft.
President Dram Baran Yadv asked Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal to continue even after he was sacked by the Prachanda-led government.
Maoists said the presidential action was unconstitutional and it should be ccorrected.
Shrestha said a summit meeting of three parties has been suggested after which talks team of the parties will again effort to find a solution to the deadlock.
Maoists have threatened to launch a third decisive movement if their demands aren’t met by the end of tihar.
