Three-party meet begins
Kathmandu, 3 Oct: Leaders of UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML began Saturday morning to draw up a common resolution to end a four-month political deadlock.
Senior-most leaders of the three parties stayed away from the talks.
The meeting began Saturday after ruling parties Nepali Congress and CPN-UML couldn’t draft a common resolution as entrusted by Maoists.
The three parties still have fundamental differences.
The ruling parties are insisting the president shouldn’t be censured for his actions while Maoists said the censure motion should be critical of the presidential action to retain sacked Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal.
