Maoists launch threatened popular movement

Kathmandu, 2 Nov> Chairman Prachanda Sunday evening launched their threatened their anti-government popular movement from the old bus park in the capital with torchlight rallies.
Vehicular movement in the inner city was obstructed.
Maoists are demanding what they call restoration of civilian authority and correction of a unconstitutional decision of the president to retain sacked Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal.
Maoists plan to blockade the Valley during the movement.
