PM Nepal to address Denmark summit Wednesday

Kathmandu, 16 Dec.: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will address the UN climate change summit in Copenhagen Wednesday.
He held discussions with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in Copenhagen Tuesday.

UN work plan for disqualified Maoist combatants

Kathmandu, 16 Dec.: Radhika Coomaraswamy, visiting UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, Tuesday submitted a UN plan to get 3,000 Maoist disqualified child soldiers out of camps to Peace Minister Rakam Chemjung.
Chemjung said ‘there’s little difference’ between the government and UN plans.
“:We would have preferred the specific mention of minors. The UN plan only says disqualified,” he later said.
Chemjung said the government won’t assist the displaced child soldiers if Maoists take them unilaterally our of camps.
