Maoists will meet LTTE fate: PM Nepal

Kathmandu, 7 Jan.: An angry Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal warned Thursday Maoists will meet the fate of Sri Lanka’s LTTE if they don’t change their behaviour and attitude.
Calling Maoists donkeys he said they can’t be turned into cows.
The prime minister made the remarks after Maoists stoned his vehicle in the Chitwan by activists of the main opposition.

Maoists agree to discharge of combatants by 30 April.:

Kathmandu, 7 Jan.” Maoists agreed ‘in principle ‘ Thursday agreedto the discharge of 19,000 plus Maoist combatants from 27c cantonments and camps,Chief Secretary Madhav Ghimere said.
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal made the suggestion at a meeting of the special committee on integration and rehabilitation.
But details have to be worked through political discussion as well, Ghimere said.

Terai Mukti Morcha claims responsibility for killings of Maoists

Kathmandu, 7 Jan.: Terai Mukti Morcha, in a statement Thursday, claimed responsibility for the overnight killings of several Maoists in Bara.
Maoists boycotted parliament Thursday charging government for protecting killers.
