Three parties launch high powered political mechanism

Kathmandu, 8 Jan.: Maoists, Nepali Congress and UML launched a political mechanism to draft a constitution within the May 28 deadline and take the peace process to its logical conclusion.
Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala is its coordinator.
Chairman Prachanda and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal are members,
Leaders of other parties may be added later, Khanal and Prachanda said.
The mechanism has been launched with belief a constitution can be promulgated within the deadline if the biggest parties in the country coordinate.
