Girija suffers relapse

Kathmandu, 19 March: Girija Prasa Koirala, 86 suffered a relapse Firday a
afternoon.
He is being treated at home by a team of doctors.
They are discussing whether to re-admit him in hospital.
He is having breathing problems, an aide said.

Dailekh bus accident toll increases to 33

Kathmandu, 19 March: The death in Thursday’s passenger bus accident increased to 33 Friday with the death of two more persons being treated at hospital for injuries.
Ten persons are still missing.
Search and rescue teams are continuing work while attempting to pull the bus out of Karnali river.
Twenty-four persons were cremated communally Thursday.
Four persons of a family died Thursday.

16 trucks released, no trace of Maoist weapons

Kathmandu, 19 March: 16 trucks were released by Armed Police Force in Jhapa Friday after a search found no traces of Maoist weapons being smuggled in from Assam.
Police intercepted trucks transporting coal.

Bird culling starts in Kailali

Kathmandu, 19 March: Culling of birds started Friday 3 km around Tanakpur in Kailali in the far-West after discovery of traces of bird flu.
Bird flu was detected in Nawalparasi in the western region as well.
