Bamdev Gautam receives death threats; other details (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 3 may Influential leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Bamdev Gautam told Kantipur Monday he received death threats over identified telephones from three persons of UML’s Youth Force following the demand of 60 party leaders for the resignation of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Gautam claimed Nepal has told the party’s standing committee he would resign after returning from the 16th SAARC summit last week from Bhutan where he received support for the government from India.
Gautam said Nepal changed his stance after receiving support from EU member states and USA as well.
Monday is the second day of a Maoist nation-wide strike demanding the resignation of Nepal and the formation of a national government under the leadership of the main opposition.
People have been confined to their homes because of the strike..
Not a single transaction was recorded at the country’s only stock exchange because of the strike.
“The present movement is also an effort to establish the constitution and the conflict into an industry for years. Parties knowingly or unknowingly and involved.
“Foreign interest is to Bhutanize and Afghanistanize the country. Political party leaders have brought this crisis,” senior advocate Bhimarjun Acharya told Jana Bhawana.
Only 25 days remain for to promulgate a constitution to institutionalize a republic announced by an unelected and self-appointed parliament.
The two-year mandate of the 601-member constituent assembly also ends 28 May.
Nepal is heading towards a political crisis.

Spokesman of the prime minister’s office

Kathmandu, 3 May: Hari Prasad Nepal has been appointed spokesman of the prime minister’s office.
He is a joint secretary there.
