Maoist strike enters third day

Kathmandu, 4 May: Maoist nation-wide strike to press for a national government entered its third day Tuesday as a standoff between ruling parties and the main opposition continues.
Ruling parties say the government can be changed only through consensus or a no-confidence vote in parliament where Maoists don’t have a majority.
Maoists say they will put down the 11-month government through street politics.
Urban dwellers have benefited through the unannounced of daytime load-shedding.
Power supplied to industries have been diverted to households after the closure of industries.
