Maoists begin succumbing to pressures (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 6 May: Maoists Thursday night for the first time began succumbing to international and international pressures to withdraw a crippling five-day seize of roads that has brought life to a standstill nation-wide.
A central meeting of Maoists decided not to obstruct the movement of green vegetables from Friday as produce rot on fields and irate farmers litter highways with rotten vegetables and milk.
The main opposition also relaxed shooping hours to buy essetials from two to four hous in the evening.
Maoists have denied farmers access to markets with their seize of highways.
Ruling Nepali Congress and Nepali Congress met again Thursday and asked Prime mInister Madhav Kumar Nepal not to succumb to Maoist pressure to force his resignationand instead discussed a package solution to end the political deadlock.
First Indian Ambassador Rakesh Sood and then EU ambassadors collectively met Chairman Prachanda and told him of the crisis created by the prolonged strike to topple the Nepal government.
The home ministry issued a statement in the evening reporting ‘spontaneous’ opposition to the strike and naming districts where the opposition to the strike broke out.
