One policeman seriously injured, other details (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 2 May: One policeman was seriously injure in a clash in Mahendranagar in the far-West where Maoist students attempted to obstruct class twelve examinations conducted by the higher secondary board on the first day of an indefinite Maoist strike.
Violence was reported form other examination centers in the country.
In the capital, Maoists staged a stage-in in front of Singha Durbar from early morning Sunday to prevent ministers and officials from entering the central secretariat.
Maoists obstructed movement of people and vehicles on roads and they danced and sang of the streets.
The aim of the Maoists is to get into government through protracted strike even as Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal Saturday asked the main opposition to topple the government through parliament.
Coinciding with the indefinite Maoist strike, four western nations through travel advisories asked their nationals to be cautious while traveling to Nepal.
USA, Great Britain, Canada and Australia issued the advisories.
USA renewed an advisory issued May 2009.

Four killed in vehicular accident

Kathmandu, 2 May; Four persons were killed and nine were injured Sunday in SIndupalchowk.
The vehicle with pepeple was transporting sand between two villages in the district.
