Prachanda, Sood meet (DEVELOPING STORY)
Kathmandu, 6 May: Maoist Chairman Prachanda held a 30-monute discussion with Indian Ambassador Rakesh Sood Thursday morning.
They discussed the continuing the Maoist nation-wide strike and recent developments, a Maoist source said.
A report from New Delhi said India rejected a request by unnamed capital to help broker an outlet to a standoff.
India has lent its direct support to the embattled Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal government.
Maoist foreign department Ram Karki flew for New Delhi Wednesday to seek support for the strike from Nepalis living in India, Foreign Department Chief Krishna Bahadur Mahara said.
Karki’s nomination has an ambassador to India during the Prachanda regime was rejected by India.

Bhutanese team in town to study stock exchange working
Kathmandu, 6 May: A four-member team of the Royal Securities Exchange of Bhutan Ltd. is in town to study the working of Nepalese Share Market (Nepse), the country’s only stock exchange.
The delegation that arrived Sunday is led by Tashi Yejer, an advisor of the stock exchange.
The delegation is holding discussions with officials of Nepse, Security Board of Nepal, share brokers and related individuals.
