PM Nepal says he’ll help not obstruct national govt. formation

Kathmandu, 2 June: A meeting of the Big Three in which Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal was present ended inconclusively Wednesday with an agreement to meet again Thursday.
‘I’m ready to help; I’m not an obstacle,” the prime minister told the three party summit.
“I’ve said clearly I am ready to help government formation. I will help the process and won’t be an obstacle,” Nepal reiterated.
He warned any delay in government formation will adversely impact annual budget presentation 9 July.
“The extension of the CA term should be utilized positively,” he advised..
“Today is 2 June. If the process is not started to prepare a buddget, problem will be created,’ Nepal warned.
Maoists stuck to their demand for the premier’s resignation.
NC and UML stuck to their demands for a package agreement for a national government.
The stalemate continued even after the CA extension Friday.
Three Madesh parties blamed top three parties for the deadlock.
Twenty-two parties said three parties should promulgate constitution in six months.

Maoist boycott meet of special committee

Kathmandu, 2 June: Maoists Wednesday boycotted a meeting of the special committee of supervision, integration and rehabilitation headed by the premier saying the scheduled meet was meaningless with PM Nepal.
The meeting dispersed without discussing the agenda without a quorum as well.

10 Tibetans arrested

Kathmandu, 2 June: Ten Tibetans, including women and children were arrested Wednesday at Charikot in Dolakha as they heading to the capital in a bus.
They were arrested for illegally entering Nepal.
China has asked Nepal to increase border surveillance to stop the border crossing which continues.
