Terai havoc with floods after monsoon
Kathmandu, 20 June: Rising river levels and increased water flow have started to create havoc especially in the terai with Thursday’s arrival of the monsoon.
Hundreds of people along Santakoshi near Pashupatipur in Sunsari started vacating villages after the river started eroding banks.
The villagers were displaced two years ago as well.
The flooded Khadka Khola have inundated villages and Rajbiraj and inundated hundreds of hectares of agricultural land in Saptari.
