Three parties seek deadline extension
Kathmandu, 7 July: Nepali Congress, Maoists and UML Wednesday sought a five-day of an extension to assembly a consensus government.
The parties failed to form a government as requested by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav in one week..
They came to an agreement at a meeting of the biggest parties in parliament.
They will seek the support of their decision from other parties in parliament later Wednesday.

Former King Gyanendra celebrates 64th birthday
Kathmandu, 7 July: Thousands of people from all sections of society greeted former King Gyanendra Wednesday on his 64th birthday.
People thronged to Nirmal Nibas whose was thrown open to the public from 10.30 in the morning.
They waited for one hour in a queue to greet him and offer best wishes.
There was a festive atmosphere at Nirmal Niwas where he lives with his wife Komal and son Paras and his wife Himani after the declaration of a republic which hasn’t been institutionalized in a constitution drawn by the constituent assembly (CA).
The CA couldn’t meet its two year deadline 28 May 2010.
