Scheduled elections for premier not held on schedule; other details

Kathmandu, 2 Aug: Scheduled third round elections for prime minister at four in the afternoon hasn’t been held until eight in the evening Monday.
A front of four Madesh parties decoded to boycott the crucial vote at the last moment charging NC and Maoists weren’t positive to their 16-point demand, including formation of One Madesh,One Pradesh, collective recruitment of the terai community in Nepal Army and formation of a state reorganization commission.
Three major parties regressed on their decision to introduce sweeping changes in political and state structures to topple the royal regime more than three years ago.
NC, Maoists and UML made sweeping written promises at the behest of foreign powers for changes to topple monarchy and they have now renegaded on promises.
Nepal and Nepalis are suffering.
UML earlier said it would boycott the vote.
Caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal who resigned more than one month ago continues in office with the boycott by UML and Madesh parties.
Fourth round election has to be held to chose Nepal’s successor.
