At least 40 feared killed in bus accident (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 6 Sept.: An estimated 40 persons were killed Monday morning in a bus accident at Sindhpalchowk.
One of three survivors said in hospital 40 to 45 persons were in the bus plying between Tatopani and Baharabishe, some on the roof.
Bodies of four men and a woman have been were recovered three hours after the accident.
The survivor said the speeding bus hit a pothole on the Arniko Highway and fell into Bhote Kosi river.
A person from the crash site told a television network there were no possibility of finding survivors.
Police search and rescue teams haven’t been able to go into the river to pull our bodies.

Special committee meets

Kathmandu, 6 Sept.: A special committee headed by Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on monitoring, supervision and integration of armies
met Monday with first Maoist participation in three months.
Army Chief Gen Chatraman Singh Gurung is also participating.
The committee met ahead of Tuesday’s UN security council meeting to discuss Nepal.
The government is expected to extend the tenure of UNMIN which expires 15 September by four months by taking Nepal Army off the UNMIN watch and putting Maoist PLA under UN supervision.
India has said it will support any government move on UNMIN.

PM cancels scheduled New York trip

Kathmandu, 6 Sept.: Caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal cancelled his schedule New York visit to attend the annual UN general assembly session beginning in the third week of September, political aide R. Bhattarai said Monday.
The visit laws cancelled because of internal political reasons.
The trip was scheduled even though Nepal has been a caretaker premier fore more than two months.
