PM LOIBBES AGAINST PARCHANDA IN MEETING WITH MAHDESHBADI PARTIES

Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal Sunday held discussions with Madeshbadi parties and lobbied against Maoist Chairman Prachanda who is a candidate for prime minister to replace him.
Nepal Saturday publicly came out against the Maoists calling them Fascists and supported rival candidate NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel.
Nepal even agreed his party UML was responsible for the current
stalemate opposing a party position pushed by Chairman Jhalanath Khanal to stay neutral in voting.
The eight round voting for prime minister will be held 26 September.
Nepal met leader of Madesh parties as two Forums came close to voting for Maoists in exchange for Maoist support for regional terai demands in the seventh round vote.

CHINESE DELEGATION METS PRESIDENT

Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Visiting Chinese delegation led by He Yong, secretary of the central committee of the Communist Party of China held discussions with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav.
China said Beijing is ready to assist in pushing the peace process and constitution process.
The President’s 1st China visit beginning 31 Octobrr also figured in ther talks.
Nepal’s one-China was also discussed.
