SUSHIL KOIRALA LAUNCHES NC 12TH GENERAL CONVENTION (DEVELOPING STORY)

Kathmandu, 17 Sept.: NC Acting President Sushsil Koirala, who is one of three candidates for the party’s presidency, Friday launched the 12th party general convention at the open air theater in the capital one hour after schedule.
Koirala, along wih another candidate, Sher Bahadur Deuba, unfurled the party flag, to give a message of unity in the divided party.
Thousands of activists converged at the venue marching from 10 points in the city.
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Maoist Chairman Prachanda and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal attended as guests.
