ARMY CHIEF RETURNS

Kathmandu, 13 Oct.: Army Chief Gen. Chatraman Singh Gurung returned home Wednesday after concluding his third foreign trip in two years after assuming office.
He concluded a five-day visit of United Kingdom,
Gurung, according to British embassy, cancelled scheduled meetings with officials of the British Foreign Office and DFID on government order.
Human rights issues were subjects for discussion.
The army chief maintained contacts only with the British army, as is proper, on government direction.
