IMPORT. DISRIBUTION OF POIL PRODUCTS STOPPED
Kathmandu. 30 Oct. Federation of Petroleum Transport Entrepreneurs Saturday stopped the import of POL products from two points in Barauni and Amlekhgunj and internal distribution as well.
The federation is pressing 11 demands.
The strike comes in the middle of the festive season.

PRACHANDA TASK FORCE TO DISCUSS MECHANISM FOR APPOINTING JUDGES
Kathmandu, 30 Oct.: A Prachanda-led task force to speed up drafting a delayed constitution by removing differences is discussing Saturday a mechanism to appoint, transfer and take action against judges.
The task will force will consider a mechanism and its name.
The new body will be independent.

BABURAM BHATTARAI SAYS NO TO FULL BUDGET
Kathmandu, 30 Oct.: Maoist Vice-chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai said a full but should be presented but only with the formation of a new government by 15 November.
He warned in Biratnagar Saturday the country will be engulfed in a crisis without the government and new government adding Madhav Kumar Nepal has already resigned as government chief.
Bhattarai reiterated a caretaker government can’t bring a full budget.

PARTY LEADERS TO VISIT UK
Kathmandu, 30 Oct.: Three leaders from Nepal’s major political parties will visit the United Kingdom at the invitation of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 31 October to 4 November 2010, the British embassy said.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Vice Chairperson of the UCPN-Maoist,. Prakash Man Singh, General-Secretary of the Nepali Congress and Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Secretary of CPN-UML will travel to the UK.
Whilst there they will call on Alistair Burt MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office responsible for South Asia and Alan Duncan MP, Minister of State for International Development among others.
The purpose of the visit is to provide an opportunity for the three senior leaders to discuss Nepal’s peace process and other relevant issues with British leaders and also to expose them to the UK’s federal governance structures, the British embassy said..
In a meeting with the three leaders earlier this week, British Ambassador, John Tucknott, said, “We are delighted to invite major party leaders to the UK and we hope that the visit will provide a valuable experience for Nepal”.
