SUSHIL KOIRALA ACUSES MAOISTS
Kathmandu, 3 Oct.: NC President Sushil Koirala Sunday accused Maoists for ‘always creating obstacles’ making the country ‘a prisoner of indecision’.
He leveled the accusation while talking to reporters at his residence for the first time after his release from hospital where he was treated for pneumonia.
He said Maoists had promised an outlet immediately after the resignation of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal but there was no outlet evening 100 days after the resignation.
Koirala asked Maoists to implement to implement past agreements.
The recently elected NC president said there was be a government of understanding even with the election of a majority government.
Without mentioning Sher Bahadur Deuba, who he defeated in the presidential race, Koirala said sections in the party are demanding berths in the central committee.
“This is not good for democracy,” he said.

CLOSED SESSION OF UML STUDENT WING STARTS
Kathmandu, 3 Oct. A closed session of the student wing of the UML began in Janakpur Sunday one day behind schedule.
One delegate was injured in a clash between rival groups in the union.
Soviet Dhakal, supported by the party establishment led by Chairman Jhalanath Khanal, and Madhav Dhungel supported by KP Sharma Oli, a bitter Maoist critic, are contesting the leadership of the organization for a two-year term.
Current Chief Ram Kumari Jhakri is is presenting her political report Sunday.

INJURED NC CONVENTION DELEGATE DEAD
Kathmandu, 3 Oct. Gobinda Bataju, a delegate of the just concluded 12th NC general convention died Sunday while undergoing treatment at a Kathmandu hospital while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in a jeep accident while returning home to Pokhara.
He is the second party worker to die in the accident; one person died on the spot.

MAOIST DISTRICT LEADER ARRESTED
Kathmandu, 3 Oct. : Maoist Sindhuli leader and joint coordinator Rajan Dahal was arrested in sindhuli Sunday and sent to Ramechap.
He was arrested for allegedly assaulting UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel one year ago.
Maoists closed down Sindhuli in protest.
