ALL STRANDED TOURISTS RESCUED FROM LUKLA (BREAKING NEWS)


Kathmandu, 20 Nov.: All stranded tourisms stranded at Lukla for more than one week, were rescued Saturday, Nepal Tourism Board said.
Lukla is the only airport servicing the Everest region—a popular destination for adventure tourists.
“There is no passenger left behind today [Saturday],” the board said following a massive rescue effort.
More than 1500 tourists and passengers were stranded at Lukla following inclement weather.
Nepal Army helicopters and other helicopters and airplanes operated by private airlines rescued the tourists.
Army helicopters rescued more than 200 tourists..
