EMERGENCY CABINET RECOMMENDS PROROGUING PARLIAMENT, ANNOUNCEMENT OF BUDGET BY ORDINANCE (BREAKING NEWS)

Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: Just before mid-night Friday, an emergency meeting of the cabinet decided to recommend to ceremonial President Dr Ram Baran Yadav the proroguing of parliament session and the announcement of a budget for the remaining eight months of the fiscal year through ordinance.
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal along with cabinet members have proceeded to the president’s palace to make the recommendation personally.
The development follows Maoist seizure of tax proposals of the government as Finance Minister Surendra Pandey was about to present the podget proposal to parliament Friday.
