MAOISTS PREPARNG TO CONVNE SPECIAL PARLAIMENT SESSION

Kathmandu, 8 Dec.: Maoists are preparing to convene a special of parliament to elect Caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal who resigned 30 June.
A meeting of seven small parties is being convened for the second consecutive day Wednesday amid opposition to call a special session; they instead are proposing a normal session.
Maoists have the required 125 votes to ask the president to convene a parliament session.

PROTESTS OVER HIKE IN FARES OF POL PRODUICTS

Kathmandu, 5 Dec,: Student protests will continue for the second consecutive day Wednesday over the hike on prices of POL products this week.
Tuesday’s protest was violent.
Kerosene and diesel prices were hiked Rs 3 per liter while LPG gas cylinder was also increased.
RPP-Nepal is joining Wednesday’s protest.
