MILLIONS OF RUPEES DAMAGE IN BIRGUNJ FIRE

Kathmandu, 10 Dec.: Millions of rupees in damage was reported in a fire overnight at a factory in Birgunj-18.
First reports said the fire started at an incense factory in the border town that has become increasingly violent.
The cause of the fire wasn’t known.

MAOISTS, UML OPPOSE [PRCE IN HIKE ON P; [RODDDDICTS

Kathmandu, 10 Dec.: Main opposition Maoists and an affiliate of UML which is leading the government opposed this week’s hike on prices of POL products.
An UML affiliate led by Bam Deb who is close to Maoists opposed the hike.
Maoist Spokesman Dinanath Sharma issued a statement demanding withdrawal of the decision to hike prices opposed by students as well.
Maoists threatened a strike if the decision isn’t rescinded.
