FOUR MAOISTS JOIN GOVT.

Kathmandu, 4 March.: Only four of 1l Maoist ministers Friday evening joined the government of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal even after one-month of intense pressure of Khanal’s UML party by the largest communist party failed to deliver results.
Maoists were demanding the home ministry portfolio and strict implementation of a 7-point agreement between Khanal and Chairman Prachanda to implement a secret agreement that would have ensured the creation of a separate security state force with former Maoist combatants only.
Krishna Bahadur Mahara leads the Maoist team as senior deputy prime minister with charge of the communication ministry which he held 22 months ago when Prachanda was premier for nine months.
Prachanda resigned following a showdown with the president and the army.
Khadga Bahadur Bshwawakarma also joins joins government with Mahara after 22months as minister for tourism.
Miitary leader Barsha Man Pun has been appointed minister for peace and reconstruction.
He will have direct say in integration and resettlement of 19,000 former combatants at 28 cantonments and satellite camps managed by retreating UNMIN after a failed four-year mission.
He’ll have direct access to foreign and government funds for the integration and resettlement of former fighters and their monthly upkeep.
Top Bahadur Rayamajhi is minister for physical planning and transport.
Maoists had to appoint to 11 ministers allocated to them.
There were differences in the party to select the government as rival groups claimed ministerial berths.

Kathmandu, 4 March: The urine flow of former Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai isn’t normal even after administering medicine, Norvic Hospital said Friday.
His blood pressure has fallen.
Kishunji is battling death as his vital organs are failing.

SECURITYGUARD AT BANK KILLED
Kathmandu, 4 March: A security guard at the Nepal Commerce and Credit Bank was found dead Friday morning after an overnight fire at the bank’s Narayanghad in Chitwan.
There was no money loss despite physical damage..
