PAKISTAN EMBASSY DEMANDS GOVT, BRING ASSASSINS TO
JUSTICE (UPDATE)

Kathmandu, 14 April: Pakistan embassy, in a statement Thursday after a
Failed attempt by unidentified persons to shoot dead a Pakistan official with the consular section in the embassy asked Nepal government to bring the killers to justice.
Two assassins fired four rounds and looked like they were of terai-origin,
an eyewitness said.
The killers sped in the motorcycle in which the official was driving to office from home Thursday morning at 9.10 in Basundhara, Radio Nepal said.

MADHAV KUMAR NEPAL, KP OLI BOYCOTT PM RECEPTION

Kathmandu, 14 April: Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and
KP Sharma Oli boycotted a new year tea reception hosted by Prime
Minister Jhalanath Khanal at his official residence Thursday.
The boycott reflects personal and principled differences between the three
top UML leaders.
The two leaders oppose Khanal’s proximity to Maoists.
Khanal has laid claim to a portion of land registered in Koteshwor in the family of Nepal.
President Dr. Ram BaranYadav, top party leaders, diplomats and other
leaders of society attended the Baluwatar reception.

FOUR INCLUDING TWO CHILDREN KILLED IN SAND MINE ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 14 April: Four persons including two children, were killed in
a sand mine accident at Lekhnath in Kaski Thursday.
A mother and her daughter were among the dead,
They were buried while loading a tractor with sand.
