NEPAL KO SAMBIDHAN IS NAME OF PROPOSED CONSTITUTION

Kathmandu, 19 May; The name of the proposed constitution will just be: Nepal Ko Sambidhan.
Three of five members of the high-powered Prachanda-led sub-committee under a main constitution drafting a basic law agreed to the brief title.
There’ll be no mention of a republics or people’s democratic republic in a future constitution.
The sub-committee Thursday sorted eight of 30 contentious articles to be included in a constitution, a member said.
The Prachanda has until 27 May to settle differences between major political players.
There won’t be mention of the Maoist PLA as demanded by Maoists in a future constitution.

NC MOTORCYCLE RALLY

Kathmandu, 19 May: NC supporters took out a motorcycle rally in the capital Wednesday to gather support for Friday’s public meeting collect for the main party’s position on the peace process and constitution drafting.
The meeting Friday will conclude its national and districts campaigns that were launched 28 March.
The party is holding corner meetings later Thursday.
Th party central committee began meeting Thursday to finalize and approve its position on its concepts for concluding the peace process and constitution drafting as well.
Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Paudel committees developed the concepts.
