SHAILENDRA KUMAR UPADHAYAL CREMATED

Kathmandu, 11 May: Former Foreign Minister Shailendra Kumar Upadhaya, 82, was cremated at Pashupatinath Arya Ghat Wednesday.
He died Monday attempting to be the oldest person to climb the 8848 meters high Mount Everest.
His body was airlifted to the capital from base camp Wednesday.

MAIZE YIELD To INCRASE 11.45 PERCENT THIS YEAR

Kathmandu, 11 May: Maize production this fiscal year will increase 11.45 percent to 2.67 million tons compared to the previous year, agriculture ministry said.
Sissx government has been financing a project to increase the yield of the country’s second crop after rice targeting the hill region.
