BIG THREE MEET PUT OFF UPDATE

Kathmandu, 18 June: A summit of the Big Three-Maoists and UML in government , and main opposition NC that was scheduled for Saturday has been put off Surya Thapa, press aide of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said.
Khanal brokered the meet.
A new date for the meet is being worked out, Thapa said.

SNOW SLIDE KILLS THREE STUDENTS COLLECTING YARSHAGUMBA IN DOLPA

Kathmandu, 18 June: Three Jajarkot students waiting for this SLC results have been buried alive by a snow slide in Dolpo where they were collecting the Himalayan Viagra yarshagumba.
An outsider collecting the herb was battered and killed by hurling him off a cliff in Bhajang.

Rs.38.72 BILLION BRITISH ASSISTANCE

Kathmandu, 18 June’: Britain’s Department of International Assistance (DFIF) this week announced a 331 million British pound sterling assistance equivalent to Rs 38.72 billion for four major sectors from 2011 to 2015.
Sixty million pound sterling will be released the first year, 61 million pound sterling the next year and over 100 million pound sterling the last two years.
DFID Nepal Chief Sarah Sanyahumbi said Nepal was a ‘priority country’ for London.
