GOVT. APPOINTED JUDICIAL PROBE COULDN’T IDENTIFY REAL OPERATOR HIRED BEHIND INDIAN KILLER

Kathmandu, 5 June: Hired Indian killer Jagjeet Singh attempted to shoot dead Yunis Ansari three months because of his involvement in a fake Indian currency racket, a three-member judicial probe ordered by the government concluded Sunday/
The report committee headed by retired supreme court justice Rajendra Kumar Bhandari was submitted to Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal.
But the report didn’t identify ‘the real operator’ who hired Singh to shoot dead Nepali media tycoon Asari in the high security Central Jail in the capital.

SPECIAL COMMITTEE MEET INCONCLUSIVE UPDATE

Kathmandu, 5 June: A special committee headed by the prime minister for integration, resettlement and supervision of 19,000 plus Maoist former combatants couldn’t draw up a schedule for the entrusted tasks Sunday.
A schedule will be fixed after consulting party leaders and experts, an announcement said.

MAOIST SECURITY GUARDS START ARRIVING AT SHAKTIHJOR PLA DIVISION UPDATE

Kathmandu, 5 June: The first lot of Maoists security guards assigned for security duty of Chairman Prachanda reported to the PLA 3rd Division in Shaktikhor after leaving the capital at 12.30 in the afternoon.
The entire operation to send back armed fighters assigned for security duties of top Maoist leaders will be completed in the next three days,Maoist military leader Barsha Man Pun said.
Forty-eight former fighters were relived of security duties Sunday and their weapons will be sent storage in containers in the next two days, he said.sion.
Other leaders weren’t present in the capital, he said.
There are differences in the party to send back former armed fighters to camps.

REMAND OF MAOIST COMMANDER GOBINDA BATALA EXTENDED FOR 10 MORE DAYS

Kathmandu, 5 June: The judicial remand of Maoist former commander
Gobinda Batala was extended for 10 more days Sunday by Kathmandu district court.
He was presented at the court Sunday after a four-day remand lapsed for preparation of charges for abduction of a Kathmandu trader who was later murdered at a Maoist camp in Chitwan three years ago.
The camp was under UN supervision.

PM KHANAL ATTEMPTS TO JUSTIFY CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY EXTENSION

Kathmandu, 5June: Conflict management and constitution drafting haven’t been completed anywhere in the world in a deadline, Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said.
:”No where in the world have such responsibilities been completed in the assigned time,” he said.
“The extended deadline should be used for completion of peace process and constitution drafting,” he said attempting to justify extension of constituent assembly by three more months. last Sunday

MADESH MORCHA FRONT BOCOTT NC SPONSORED MEET UPDATE

Kathmandu, 5 June: Five-party Madesh Loktantrik Madeshi Morcha Sunday boycotted a meeting of small parties Sunday to discuss implementation of a five-point agreement with UML ad Maoists last Sunday.
Main opposition NC convened a meeting with small parties that supported the main opposition that pressed a 10-point demand.
But NC renegaded on the agreement.
Nine parties were present at the meeting.
NC had developed a 17-party coalition against ruling communist majority government of Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal.
The front convened a meeting on how to implement the five-point agreement between Maoists, UML and NC.
MJFL Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar said first peace process should completed and then constitution drafting.
‘There’s no alternative to a national government for which the government should resign,” he said.

MAOIST MINISTER AGNI SAPKOTA APEARS AT SUPREME COURT

THREE ARMED PERSONS ARRESTED BEHIND HOTEL MALLA

Kathmandu, 5 June; Three persons were arrested with weapons and bullets from Thamel Sunday, police said.
They were picked up behind Malla Hotel.
The trio were extortionists, police said.
