MONITORING OF FORMER MAOIST FIGHTERS BEGINS FROM SHAKTIKHOR
Kathmandu, 13 June: A 19-member monitoring team deputed by the secretariat of a special committee for army integration started monitoring fighters at the Maoist 3rd division at Shaktikhor in Chitwan Sunday.
The teams will start work at other divisions and camps as well.
The teams consist of personnel of Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Maoist PLA.
Before 15 January, UNMIN was monitoring the 19,000 plus former Maoist fighters at 28 cantonments and satellite camps.
Monitoring was ineffective after UNMIN withdrawal without adequate personnel and logistics support

FOUR PERSONS, INCLUDING THREE WOMEN, SEARCHING FOR YARSHAGUMBA KILLED

Kathmandu, 13 June: Four persons, including three, women are missing feared dead when a rope across Karnali river snapped in Mugu, district police said.
They plunged into the river and died Friday as they were crossing the river with the help of the rope
