NC HOLDING INFORMAL DISCUSSIONS ON BUDGET
Kathmandu, 23 June; Main opposition NC began informal party discussions on the annual national budget whose draft was presented in parliament Wednesday to collect suggestions of parties for incorporation in government’s plans and programmes
NC hasn’t decided formally whether to support the budget or not.
Delayed presentation of the annual budget for two successive years has adversely impacted the national economy.
Detailed discussions on the budget begin in parliament Friday.

RETIRING CAREER DILOMAT NEW ENVOY TO BANGLADESH
Kathmandu, 23 June: Hari Kumar Shrestha, who retires next month, has been nominated new ambassador to Bangladesh by the cabinet to succeed another career diplomat Pradeep Khatiwada.
Shrestha is joint secretary and chief of South Asia division at the foreign ministry.
