NEPAL FAMILYPLANNING ASSOCIATION HAS NEW LEADERSHIP

ONE KILLED, 36 INJURED IN BIDAR BUS ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 9 June: One person died and 36 were injured in a bus accident Thursday evening near Bidur, in neighbouring Nuwakot district.
Four seriously injured have been rushed to the capital for treatment.

NEW LEADERSHIP TAKES OVER IN TROUBLED NEPAL FAMILY PLANNING ASSOCIATION

Kathmandu, 9 June: A new leadership was installed Wednesday in Nepal Family Planning Association to which donors, including International Planned Parenthood Federation (IFFP) cut off assistance amid charges of widespread irregularities.
A five-member working committee was formed Wednesday headed by Madhav Adhikari by dissolving the old body.
Other members of the committee are: health ministry Deputy Secretary Krishna Bahadur Karki, Bandana Rana, volunteer Narayani Tiwari and Dr. Badri Pandey.
A request was made to Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal to constitute a new committee.

FATHER,SON KILLED IN ROCKFALL IN BAJURA

Kathmandu, 9 June: A father and son were killed Thursday in a rock fall in Bajura in the far-West Thursday.
Dhana Dhami and his five-year-old son were killed.
