412.6mm,rainfall until 30 July, Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) said.
Normal rainfall in the wettest month is 356.6mm.
The highest rainfall in the month was 177mm 23 July.

SHARE PRICES STABLE

Kathmandu, 31 July: Nepse index slipped 2.28 points and closed at 363.14 points at the end of five-day weekly trading Thursday.
Hydropower sector shares fell 36.18 points.
Insurance companies, commercial banks and financial institution shares slipped 5.47,3.15 and 3.03 points respectively.
Total transactions fell 87.01 percent to Rs 122.9 million in 257 deals.
Index dropped to 292.32 points 15 June.

UMDF, UANSF FOR COMMON STATCE ON KEY ISSUES

Kathmandu, 31 July: The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), an alliance of five Madhes-based political parties and United Alliance for National Self-rule and Federalism (UANSF), an alliance of eight indigenous parties and organizations have reached an agreement to forge a common stance on federal structure and other common issues,Gani Ansari reports in Republica.
A two-day meeting of the two alliances held in the capital on Friday also formed a four-member taskforce to recommend their respective leaderships about terms of references of the partnership, according to leaders.
The taskforce comprises Rajkishore Yadav of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Republican (MPRF-R), Jitendra Dev of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D), Suresh Ale Magar of Adibasi Jatiya Chhetriya Mahasangh Nepal and Khagendra Makhim of Federal Democratic National Forum.

“The taskforce will forge a common understating on issues like federalism, autonomy of provinces and inclusion,” said Yadav.

The taskforce will recommend future strategy to safeguard achievements of past movements, according to Magar, another member of the taskforce. “We will urge the leadership to adopt a strategy to combat anti-federalism forces,” Magar told Republica.

Yadav said the taskforce would start working from Sunday and would submit its report within the next three to four days.

MPRF-R Chairman Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta said they would exert pressure on the state to address the concerns raised by Madhesi and indigenous nationalities.
The meeting concluded that centralized structure and unitary system of government are the major obstacles in ensuring the rights of Madhesi and indigenous nationalities.

UDMF comprises MPRF-R, MPRF-D, Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP), TMDP-Nepal and Sadbhawana Party whereas UANSF comprises Nepa Rastriya Party, Federal Democratic National Forum, Rastriya Janamukti Party, Tamsaling Nepal Rashtriya Dal, Janamukti Party Nepal, Aadibasi Jatiya Chhetriya Mahasangh Nepal, Akhil Nepal Aadibasi Janajati Mahasangh (Ekikrit) and Aadibasi Janajati Mahasangh (Samajbadi).

Earlier, UDMF had reached an agreement with various Tharu organizations to collaborate on issues of state restructuring.
