EMBATTLED PM HOLDS TALKS WITH SUSHIL KOIRALA

EMBATTLED PM KHANAL, SUSHIL KOIRALA HOLD DIALOGUE

Kathmandu, 31 July: Embattled Prime Minister Jha;anath Khanal, who is also UML chairman, held a dialogue with main opposition NC President Suhil Koirala at the latter’s residence Sunday morning.
Khanal drove to the Koirala residence for the meeting.
They discussed en masse resignations of Maoist ministers delivered to the government chief by Chairman Prachanda Saturday evening.
Maoists have threatened further ‘extreme’ action if a new team 24 ministers and state ministers isn’t installed by a reluctant premier Sunday.
NC has called for Khanal’s resignation charging he hasn’t paved the way for forming a national government as envisaged din a five-point tripartite agreement between Maoists, UML and NC.
A section of Khanal’s own UMl is demanding his resignation.
